How can one think that it's ok to disregard the EPA School Citing Guidelines because it's based on what not to build a school near, rather than what shouldn't be built near a school?
The Crossings at Doby's Bridge was zoned way back in 2008.
Yes, and since then neighborhoods and an elementary school have been built.
If they were going to allow a gas station in that location, why would they build an elementary school right next to it? Knowing that the EPA School Citing Guidelines recommend over 300ft?
And when they did decide to build an elementary school next to it, why did they not add variances to the commercially zoned lot to protect the health and safety of our kids? Especially, when Fort Mill School District has put so much love and devotion into creating an AMAZING school district.
